<b>About this role </b><br />
<br />
Join a growing User Experience (UX) team and design the next generation of digital applications to enable our workforce. As we are scaling up our UX and Design Thinking practice we need someone to help us create and deliver UX solutions that can be implemented across a wide range of project domains and operational environments.<br />
<br />
As a User Experience Designer - Design Thinking Focus, you will use human-centered design (also referred to as design research or design thinking) research methodology to probe, assess and evaluate behaviors of targeted groups of people and then translating that knowledge into meaningful information to inform and improve business applications and processes.<br />
<br />
The ideal candidate has a passion for user-centered design and a wide breadth of experience across multiple projects using a variety of design and research methodologies .<br />

<p>Technology</p>

<li>Visualize solutions using professional design tools as well as sticky notes, sketch boards, whiteboard markers or whatever tools are necessary to rapidly work from concepts to prototypes. Rapidly and iteratively create low and high fidelity clickable and interactive prototypes</li>
<li>Produce detailed user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and user interface specification based on project requirements and user stories.</li>
<li>Engage with users on-site at operational locations (domestic and international) for ethnographic research and design validation.</li>
</ul>

<p>Business</p>

<ul>
<li>Design and facilitate workshops using design thinking methods to clarify problems and ideate solutions; coach others to conduct similar workshops</li>
<li>Instruct training classes and develop training material to promote design thinking competency to a broad internal audience</li>
<li>Consult with practitioners and coaches to advance design thinking best practices across the entire organization</li>
<li>Identify gaps between the current and the ideal user experience to drive innovation focus and purpose.</li>
<li>Plan and execute generative research to identify opportunities; synthesize research into insights, personas, journey maps and other outputs as appropriate</li>
<li>Perform change management, incident management activities</li>
<li>Work closely with analysts, designers and SMEs</li>
<li>Engage with stakeholders, product owners, developers and end-users to gain insights that inform your design decisions.</li>
<li>Plan and execute evaluative research to iteratively and rapidly get feedback on ideas and designs at various stages in design and development.</li>
<li>Continuously challenge the effectiveness of design solutions, recommending changes, as appropriate.</li>
<li>Serve as a subject matter expert on user-centered design, design thinking and our end-user&
39;s needs.</li>
<li>Engage with the business segments and internal stakeholders to communicate issue/outage updates</li>
</ul>

<p>External Presence</p>

<ul>
<li>Engage with the external technical and business community to brand and differentiate PLM implementation in SLB</li>
<li>Participate in technical forums and other appropriate events.</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Qualifications and Requirements </b><br />
<br />
Essential qualifications</p>

<ul>
<li>Bachelors or Masters in Human Factors, Interaction, Industrial or Product Design, Cognitive , experimental or Behavioral Psychology, Anthropology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)</li>
<li>Experience conducting Design Thinking workshops or Design Sprints</li>
<li>Experience with LUMA&
39;s curated set of design thinking methods is a plus</li>
<li>A bility and desire to coach non-design professionals in value and techniques of Design Thinking</li>
<li>Understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices</li>
<li>Understanding of user-centered design user research methodologies including quantitative and qualitative techniques for both evaluative and generative research</li>
<li>Proficient in MS office products, working knowledge of the Adobe suite</li>
<li>Experience working with cross functional, collaborative teams</li>
<li>Extremely detail oriented, flexible to change, high tolerance for ambiguity and self-motivated</li>
<li>Must be comfortable making decisions independently as well as within a team</li>
