<b> Are you a Design Engineer looking for a new challenge? </b><br><b> Do you want to work our collaborative Aftermarket Services team and solve technical problems?? </b><br><br><b> Join our world-class Oilfield Equipment team </b><br>The <b>Flexible Pipe Systems</b> business supply specialist unbonded flexible subsea flowline and riser technology and associated services globally.<br><br><b> Partner with the best </b><br><br>As a <b>Flexible Pipe Engineer</b>, you will be responsible for:<br><ul><li>The undertaking of calculations and analyses using a combination of in-house and general software as well as hand calculations resulting in the production of Engineering reports and other design documents</li><li>Producing technical input data requirements, CTRs and technical/commercial proposals to meet customer needs for engineering studies and operational support assessments</li><li>Establishing and maintaining a standardized methodology and approach for FPS services studies, after market support and associated CTR's and proposals in line with FPS engineering methodologies and processes</li><li>Reviewing the flexible pipe global installed base, maintain and discuss operational and services needs with operators. Possessing a deep understanding of relevant markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies.</li><li>Staying current with operational feedback on flexible pipe integrity and failure modes to gain knowledge and appreciate operator needs for their asset performance.</li><li>Providing technical expertise and develops technical solutions from bid acquisition through to project execution, supporting under direct supervision, the work of the systems design and engineering group</li><li>Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent</li><li>Working together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning of activities and giving technical advice</li></ul><br><br><b> Fuel your passion </b><br><br>To be successful in this role you will:<br><ul><li>Engineering Bachelor's degree (Mechanical and/or Naval preferred)</li><li>Hold active CREA</li><li>Fluent English and Portuguese</li><li>Proven operations experience with Flexible Pipe Systems</li><li>Have the ability to work on all stages of a project from bid through to execution</li><li>Have knowledge and understanding of the main standards for design of offshore structures and flexible pipes (DNV, API codes)</li><li>Experience in Finite Element Analysis of dynamic riser systems and Orcaflex (preferred)</li><li>Be able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference</li><li>Have an understanding of basic programming languages or willingness to learn</li><li>Have knowledge of structural mechanics, fluid mechanics (vessel motion, hydrodynamics and wave kinematics), stress analysis and buckling strength analysis of structural components</li><li>Must be willing to occasional travels (Internationally) and embarks</li></ul><br><br><b> Work in a way that works for you </b><br><br> We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
