FTP Technician

Provides production, operational, and product support for business processes associated with the File Transfer Process established for electronic transfer of data between HPS and our customers. Assist in the setup of new accounts and/or processes for transferring secured data electronically from HPS to our customers and to setup the receipt of data from those customers. Accountable to ensure transmissions are properly setup, the processes execute as scheduled, and the results of the transfer deliver the expected results. Based on analysis translates business requirements into specifications, create new transfer processes based on needs of the developer and customer to test the process and connectivity, and implement the new transfer into production. Creation of production schedules; function and perform to that schedule. Communicates account modifications to partners and internal users. Generate management reports. Regular attendance in order to meet business objectives Preferred experience is 5 years with a minimum of 3 years working in an FTP technical environment that would match up with the responsibilities identified above. An understanding from a production viewpoint of both Linux and Windows based FTP\SFTP protocols and scripting, basic Linux environment commands and using ANT and Shell scripts preferred Knowledge of PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and encryption tools for PGP\GPG is preferred. Experience with IBM WebSphere MQ FTE and\or Windows Momentum FTP scripting languages would be beneficial
