Our Pacific Development Centre (PDC) is the Research & Development Hub for our Australian & New Zealand markets, based at our large and modern facility in Gepps Cross, Adelaide. Due to robust project pipelining, and ambitious product road-map, we have an opportunity for Design Engineer (Electromechanics) to join us and become part of our market-leading team. The Design Engineer will work closely with established and equally passionate group of electro-mechanical peers; and also collaborate closely with on and off shore stakeholder teams. This team have great onsite facilities, but are also empowered and trusted, to work in a hybrid working model, with a mix on on and offsite (remote) working and the technology to support this. The position is based in Adelaide, South Australia, but we could also offer a generous relocation package for interstate applicants. Applicants require Australian Working Rights at the time of application. In this position you will be developing a number of products within the Offer Creation Process to ensure designs are safe, reliable and cost competitive, this will include investigating, planning, managing, documenting and implementing design for products. Engaging in a complete product design process, You will: Maintain engineering drawings and associated documentation for the entire product lifecycle, including 2D & 3D CAD files, BOM’s, packaging and instructions; Accurately prepare and complete detailed product designs; Identify and resolve design issues through collaboration with the project team; Perform tolerance path analysis and interference checking of design; Maintain an awareness of cost implications of the design; Utilise the FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis) process to identify risks associated with the desired design; Demonstrate ownership and integrity of technical decisions; Participate in cross functional team design reviews including design for manufacturing / assembly About You: Experience within, and understanding of, manufacturing environments; Demonstrated experience developing and/or adapting electromechanical products; Proven track record of internal and external customer service Proven experience using Pro/Engineer design software i Degree qualifications in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering To join this talented techno-commercial team...
