The position reports directly to the ANZ Finance manager. This role is instrumental to independently handle costing related matters and analysis and financial expense analysis. This exciting role offers opportunity to: This role is instrumental to manage financial performance of the ANZ business including month end closing for the entire company, analysis of forecasts and actual performance, and operational metrics. This individual will be leading the financial monthly rolling forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects for the ANZ division. S/he will provide financial consulting, operational analysis and strategic support to senior management including preparing management presentations, financial presentations, profitability analysis, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the division to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making and growth. This position provides technical competency to ensure compliance with corporate financial policies, legal requirements and GAAP. This individual is responsible for administrative process improvements within the business, creates and implements procedures to improve the internal control environment, streamlined efforts and provide increased transparency of financial results. The individual is responsible for continuous process improvements within the business, building organizational capability and improving the internal control environment. Direct and review the analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information for use in management decision making by the Division Finance Controller and management team in Australia and New Zealand. Business partnering with the BU General managers, Supply Chain, Engineering Provide commercial decision support, Sales margin analysis at SKU level, Volume mix analysis, Customer profitability analysis, Analysis promotional activities, pricing analysis, TP analysis Develop and coordinate monthly forecasts, goals and objectives, profit plans, strategic plans, monthly financial reconciliations and reporting and analysis for the organization. Review, analyze and evaluate financial data and information for accuracy and consistency. Maintain integrity of the financial reporting prepared for the organization. Interpret, implement and monitor corporate policies and procedures, ensure financials are reported in compliance with GAAP and local statutory requirements. Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company assets and provides integrity and accuracy of financial transactions and activities. Working knowledge of SAP system, Encore reporting systems and SOX requirements Develop and publish BU P&L and Segment P&L Work collaboratively with Controls and Compliance manager on balance sheet and account reconciliation process to maintain the integrity of the general ledger and its supporting sub-ledger. Assess adequacy of reserves and account usage while providing continuous training and oversight to reporting finance personnel to ensure compliance with Eaton standards and policies. Provide support for balance sheet review process. Establish, monitor and maintain a system of internal controls that safeguards company assets and provides integrity and accuracy of financial transactions and activities. Working knowledge of Oracle ERP system, Encore reporting systems and SOX requirements Continually review and improve financial controls throughout the business Drive business performance by identifying and implementing continuous process improvement and regional best practice opportunities Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities working closely with relevant managers and suppliers Working with other Financial functions, eg Accounts Receivable, general ledger, yearly external auditor Ensure the completion and submission of Statutory, Government and Industry requested statistical data Other adhoc jobs responsibility as required by the direct manager Qualifications Degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA, Qualified accountant 5-7 years of accounting or finance experience in Manufacturing or industrial related environment, preferred in multinational company SAP user Good verbal and written English communication skill, working under pressure and strong self-study capability.
