Responsibilities include: Provide leadership and direction to the Architecture & DevOps function within Supply Chain Data & Analytics organization to enable value capture and outcomes that support data-driven decision making Lead the development and evolution of big-data ecosystem and data lake architectures to enable data processing, storage, and retrieval, including the integration of structured data sources from enterprise transactional systems and trusted third parties and unstructured data sources, including IIoT data from manufacturing plants Define and manage data processes, including Ingestion, curation, data governance, data quality, data cataloging, analytics, reporting, and CI/CD of data pipelines Review and approve designs proposed by various data and ML engineering teams Champion scalable and cost-effective data and advanced analytics platforms, evangelize best practices for building cutting-edge data and analytics ecosystem Work closely with senior management and various stakeholders to understand requirements, create roadmaps, keep track of key milestones, and take accountability for the delivery of new platforms and technologies Present platform architecture, roadmap, plans, status, and risk to various stakeholders, including senior management Champion security and governance and ensure the data engineering teams follow all best practices and architecture guidelines while delivering data products Develop and enable processes that allow for continuous improvement through structured feedback, error/variation detection, performance measurements, data security evaluations, and data quality measures. Demonstrate a combination of business focus, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and programming knowledge to be able to quickly iterate through PoC in the discovery phase of the project to a enterprise scale production implementation of a GxP solution Qualifications for Principal Engineer – Data and Analytics BS or MS in engineering, sciences, or equivalent relevant experience required. 12+ years of experience in building and managing data and analytics applications is required Demonstrated expertise on one of the top three cloud stacks (Azure, Google, and AWS) Proficient in modern data engineering stack (Talend/Informatica, HVR/Attunity/Equalum, Databricks/Delta Lake/Spark, Azure Synapse/Snowflake/Redshift) Hands-on experience working with RDBMS, distributed columnar data stores, NoSQL databases including graph databases, time-series databases, data streaming using Kafka, Events Hub, or Kinesis Proficient in SQL and Python or Java programming languages Proficient in implementing enterprise-scale distributed systems using Kubernetes Proficiency in deploying and debugging applications on Linux OS Working knowledge of data visualization toolsets like PowerBI, Tableau, or Spotfire Working knowledge of networking, including networking on cloud stack Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification preferred Databricks/Data Engineering Certification preferred.
