Associate II Software Engineer

Introduction IHS Markit is looking for a full stack Software engineer who is strong on React development and passionate about delivering high-value, high-impact solutions to the world’s most demanding, high-profile clients. You’ll play a key role in building and maintaining React and C
applications, including anything from back-end services to their client-end counterparts. Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these applications, and to coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and quality product is essential. What you’ll work on: · Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable React - C
code · Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications · Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems · Providing support for our application, working closely with product and account management teams · Work with Product Owner to translate business requirements into technical designs · Assisting the Product Management group in specifying requirements into technical requirements · Actively participate in research, discussions and decisions on software architecture, development processes, and other standards · Manage and mentor software team, grow its members through thought leadership, technical and career advancement to consistently up-level the team · Actively participate in our Scrum process: Standups, Refinements, Planning, Retrospectives, Demos · Quickly understand system architecture and become involved in design and development, taking ownership of assigned modules to drive projects to completion What we look for: · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Certified Development Program · 4-8 years of application development experience on one or many of: o Recent hands-on development experience on React-Redux with good exposure on C
