We are recruiting for a Fracture &amp; Fatigue Engineer to join our pipeline team on a full time, permanent basis located at our Sutton, London office. The pipeline team are responsible for delivering fit for purpose rigid pipeline installation analysis to projects and/or tenders with specific focus on safe and cost-effective installation operations.<br />

As a Fracture &amp; Fatigue Engineer you will sit within the Engineering Critical Assessment (ECA) team who carry out assessments on our subsea pipelines, specifically around fracture mechanics and fatigue-based welding, ensuring accordance with industry codes and standards, design guides, client specifications and scopes of work.<br />
<br />
Whilst candidates will ideally have experience working in the energy industry, we welcome applications from other industries such as, but not limited to, nuclear, utilities, aeronautics, academia (i.e., PhD), etc.<br />

<b>What will your responsibilities involve?</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Lead project ECA activities and assess required resource adjustments</li>
<li>Conduct advanced 3D finite element analyses associated with subsea pipeline installation engineering</li>
<li>Write technical project documents</li>
<li>Perform checking of analysis work of peer ECA analyst</li>
<li>Interface with other engineering disciplines (material and welding, installation, and pipeline design engineering) client and 3rd party</li>
<li>Manage internal R&amp;D study and engineering improvement projects as assigned</li>
<li>Provide ECA engineering support to Concept study, Tendering and FEED study execution</li>
</ul>

<b>What are we looking for?</b></p>

<ul>
<li>You will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering or similar subject</li>
<li>You will have relevant experience working within a similar role, with a track record in fracture mechanics and fatigue assessment of welding</li>
<li>You should be proficient with Abaqus for 3D FE modelling</li>
<li>You should have a strong knowledge of relevant structural integrity assessment codes, i.e., Bs7910, DNV, API, etc)</li>
