The Opportunity KPMG’s Business School (KBS) Audit is committed to building the Audit professionals’ knowledge and skills to maintain and uphold audit quality in client work. Towards this end, the KBS supports their professional development through development and delivery of high quality, interactive web-based training. With that said, we are currently looking for an eager Learning Designer to join our team on a contract basis with a strong opportunity for further career development in the future to support the development of web-based learning. What you will do This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate may be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues or stakeholders while at KPMG. The successful candidate may be required to create, interpret and/or apply policies, practices, laws and and/or regulations during the regular course of their employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing content of all modalities based on adult learning principles. Develop engaging and effective web-based training modules on technical audit and accounting topics using rapid development tools Map technical course material (facilitator guides, slide decks and exercise materials) and apply instructional design principles to produce cohesive and effective eLearning courses Test effectiveness of courses on the learning management system Maintain project documentation and course folders. Serve as a technical resource for programs that are internally developed and presented. Develop and maintain training related forms, job aids and materials At times, business needs arise, and employees are required and agree to work beyond their normal workday or work week to fulfill the accountabilities required for their job. Likewise, people need extra time to devote to personal matters, and our approach to flexibility provides for this. What you bring to the role Post-secondary Degree/Diploma or equivalent experience in Instructional Design and Adult learning Proven working experience in eLearning design Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word and MS PPT Experience working with LMS (Learning Management Systems) Familiarity with eLearning technology and authoring tools such as Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, Lectora or similar Excellent written communication skills with an ability to write effective copy and instructional text.
