Production Operator

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is currently accepting applications for <b>Production Operations</b> personnel with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. This role will be located on the Terra Nova FPSO to monitor, start-up, shutdown, and prepare process or utility systems. <br><br>Responsibilities of this position include: <br><ul><li> Champion and follow all Control of Work processes (permit to work, zero energy lockout) </li><li> Routine operation and inspection of all related pressure systems and rotating equipment </li><li> Testing of product quality to set specifications for sales, injection water, produced water, injection gas, potable, and boiler feed water </li><li> Monitor, control, and perform minor maintenance / adjustments on operating systems </li><li> Support the PCS Ops to monitor and control of subsea wells, flowlines, and risers according to established procedures </li><li> Maintain daily computerized Operator Field Tools (OFT) in operating area </li><li> Perform all routine housekeeping duties in work area </li><li> Safe and efficient operations in accordance with established procedures and regulations </li><li> Maintain all regulatory, CAPP and company specific training </li><li> Report all accidents, near misses and hazardous conditions as per Suncor's standards and the management system (Enablon) </li><li> Member of Offshore Emergency Response Team as required </li><li> Maintain daily unit operating logbook for shift records </li><li> Operate safe and efficient in accordance with established procedures and regulations </li></ul><br> Responsible for four working areas: <br><ul><li> Area 1 - Forward Machinery Space, HVAC and Turret systems </li><li> Area 2 - Topsides Process Systems </li><li> Area 3 - Aft Machinery Space, MPGs and Flare systems </li><li> Control Room - Process Control and Fire & Gas Control Systems </li></ul><br> Production Operators will complete the assigned training and competency as outlined for their Area of responsibility; a Production Operator may be assigned to any area at any time, provided he / she has been successfully trained and assessed in that area. <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>The following skills / experience are required for this agreement: <br><ul><li> Technologist or Industry Certification (3 rd or 4 th class Marine Engineer, 4 th class Stationary Engineer or 4 th class Power Engineer or equivalent) </li><li> Preferably 3-5 years related experience in the petrochemical industry </li><li> Working knowledge of process separation, gas compression, utility and power generation systems </li><li> Working knowledge of Control of Work Processes and Systems </li><li> Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP S4 </li><li> Effective communication skills (written, oral and computer) </li><li> Ability and willingness to train / rotate through all operating units and CCR </li><li> Demonstrated leadership and teamwork behaviors </li><li> Familiar with quality processes and application of Continuous Improvement tools </li><li> Ability to understand and react with diverse groups and operations and work closely with other individuals in a remote setting </li><li> Ability and willingness for on-the-job-training from Process Area 1 to Area 2 and Area 3 based on competency evaluation and documentation </li></ul><br> For this position, the following training / certifications would be considered and asset: <br><ul><li> Basic Survival Training (BST) including HUET and HUEBA </li><li> Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S) Alive </li><li> Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS 2015) </li><li> Offshore Safety Regulatory Awareness </li><li> Fall Protection </li><li> Confined Space Entry </li><li> Emergency First Aid </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
