Network Automation Developers / Network Engineer ( Hybrid working / South East UK ) You will be part of an Automation team working within a Tier-1 Telco Operator responsible to define, design, develop and implement Automation Use Cases (UCs) for Telco & Networking domains. You will collaborate directly with the Business Analysts, Network & OSS Design and Engineering teams to develop, integrate, and test UCs and to work towards their implementation, validate the solution in Lab and then deploy in the Production environment. This position requires strong Software development skills (Python), and Telco & Network technical background or experience. Responsibilities: Responsible for designing, building, implementing, and deploying UCs for automating the lifecycle of services within a Tier-1 Telco network. Contributing to automation initiatives and activities within an application platform involving multiple cross-functional teams. Performing deep dive code reviews and enhancing the quality of automation application code artifacts. Skills and Experience: At least 3+ years of proven software development for Telecom & Networking applications for automating life cycle of services. Strong or Intermediate Python development and scripting, hands-on experience. Hands-on experience with automation-like tools, Cisco NSO experience is a plus. Good Linux background. Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), IP/MPLS architectures and technologies is a must. Knowledge of other Telco & Network technologies is a plus. Qualifications required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent) or related field. Hands-on programming skills and proficiency with programming languages: Python, Java, Good level of understanding of networking concepts (CCNA or equivalent is desirable).
