Job Purpose: The Associate Director, Process Engineer Drug Product (DP) is an individual contributor role that includes, as business needs dictate, responsibility for: Serving as a scientific expert in his/her field. Collaboration with key stakeholders internally and externally to implement new cross business initiatives Matrix leadership of diverse scientific TRD teams and associated TRD partners Partnering with various external parties by sharing information and resources across multiple levels to establish new programmes. Building excellent relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Able to lead large employee events/meetings fostering collective working across multiple teams/groups. Mentoring less experienced colleagues to upskill and transfer knowledge Key Responsibilities: Lead scientific matrix or innovation workstreams, functional sub-teams or cross-functional initiatives Serve as a Technical Development Team member for complex projects or for projects in the Scientific Leader’s areas of expertise Independently manage research and development workstreams and communicate to stakeholders within and outside TRD Lead or conduct laboratory work requiring high level of expertise and autonomy Solve significant issues that potentially threaten project critical path Responsible to escalate issues that threaten project critical path to management as appropriate Author regulatory source reports, co-author/review regulatory submissions Lead the creation of funding proposals for resources and CAPEX to achieve scientific workstream milestones Foster academic and other collaborations to gain access to innovative technologies Communicate effectively through presentations and publications to the external scientific community Why you? Qualifications & Skills: Engineer, M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Life-science, Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or similar, or B.Sc. with relevant experience.
