Comercial director Mission: In this role your key drivers will be leading a team of contracts managers to continuously strive to improve our customer satisfaction, whilst transforming business growth with respect to revenue and profitability, minimising and mitigating risk & debt whilst ensuring we deliver our Projects and Services to the highest and safest standard. Working as part of the Digital Energy Leadership team you will be in a position to serve across the commercial and contract management organisation as well as collaborate and influence across the entire Digital Energy business. You will be accountable for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures (particularly in respect of contracting governance and general risk management). You will also be responsible for financial administration and financial reporting of our Projects and services portfolio. In your role you will balance operational and strategic activities to ensure the business meets commitments across P&L metrics while building from initiatives medium improvements to the organisation and it’s interactions with other departments including finance, governance, legal, administration, sales and operations. Key Responsabilities Reporting to the Digital Energy Vice President, your role will be to support the life cycle of our projects & services and support the business functions. Your role will include (but not be limited to) the: Work closely with the operational and sales directors to support its strategy and assist in developing new transformation of business revenue and profit growth. Deploy operational best practises and represent the business in financial and commercial negotiations with key contracts/clients. Review and amendment of contracts to ensure compliance with Schneider Electric’s rules of engagement and assist your team in the negotiation with Suppliers and Subcontractors. Negotiation of contracts with our customers and sub-contractor / suppliers and can engage fully with internal and external stakeholders to manage or mitigate any contractual / commercial risk in a contract. Understanding of project finances. You will be highly numerical, analytical and have a good financial acumen as the role will require you to understand the financial position on projects and ensure any deviation from the base margin is recognised and mitigated, whilst promoting revenue and margin growth through diligent variation and claims management. Development of Commercial Tasks and Processes and support continuous improvement, Management of Subcontractors and Suppliers and accountable for the day to day running of the project in terms of procurement and financial control. Skill and attraibutes: Relevant experience in quantity surveying; knowledge of commercial procedures & practices and standard contract conditions within the construction industry would be advantageous, including detailed knowledge of the NEC and JCT standard form of contracts. Education A degree in Quantity Surveying and RICS accreditation or equivalent is desired, however any qualification with the experience of leading a team of Quantity Surveyors would be considered.
