Senior Project Engineer (Oil &Gas)

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is looking for a<b> Senior Project Engineer</b> with proven experience in a major engineering contractor within the Oil & Gas Industry. The successful candidate will join the discipline team working in our current major projects. <br><br>We are looking for an experienced engineer, with a broad range of Project skills who is ready to step up and lead project team of engineers and designers. The right candidate will be highly motivated, able to work independently, have demonstrable sound technical knowledge. <br><br>Among his/her responsibilities: <br><ul><li> Coordination of the engineering and design activities of the assigned project / unit, ensuring compliance with project schedule, quality and budget </li><li> Assists / prepares the coordination procedure in collaboration with the Engineer Manager / Coordinator </li><li> Assists the Engineering Manager / Coordinator in the review of approved project schedule and ensures that the detailed programs include all the Engineering and Design activities of the Units under his charge </li><li> Coordinates the preparation of project specifications by the various discipline departments and prepares project engineering specifications </li><li> Coordinates 3D model design activities and leads 3D model reviews </li><li> Coordinates and participates in project meetings with client, vendors and / or licensors, such as project review meetings, design / coordination meetings, safety workshops, technical meetings, etc. </li><li> Prepares the requisitions for erection contracts and firefighting system, and the corresponding technical bid evaluations. Reviews and approves firefighting vendor drawings </li><li> Identifies, coordinates, prepares, and follows up the contract changes </li><li> Prepares man-hour estimates to support contract changes </li><li> Assists / prepares the monthly progress report </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Relevant Engineering Degree </li><li> Proven record ranging of 10 or more years as Project Engineer or of relevant experience performing equivalent duties, preferably with an EPC Contractor, in Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical or LNG </li><li> Teamwork capabilities, flexibility, problem solving attitude, orientation to results, relational skills, specific technical knowledge </li><li> Conversant with international codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, etc) </li><li> 3D Model knowledge, including knowledge in SmartPlant Review and Navisworks </li><li> Knowledge in fire systems </li><li> Site Experience </li><li> Excellent command of Spanish and English languages </li><li> Availability for assignments abroad </li><li> Available immediately </li><li> Valid European Work Permit </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
