Position summary Under the supervision of an engineer, the intern will perform power system network analyses, perform electrical engineering design for projects, and provide engineering recommendations. What will you do? Perform engineering analysis of industrial, commercial, and utility power systems in the areas of protection coordination, short circuit calculations, arc flash hazard analysis, load flow; Evaluate the results of the analysis and prepare a written report of findings, recommendations and mitigation solutions; Perform electrical design improvements primarily to support the facility's electrical distribution system upgrades, based on customer needs; Work with the Solutions Sales team and potential customers to help qualify customer needs and potential energy solutions; Utilize engineering skills and applicable codes and standards to implement safe, reliable and cost effective electrical systems; Provide technical support and quality control for assigned projects; Manage project schedule commitments with customers to maintain long-term relationships What qualifications will make you successful? 3rd year electrical engineering student with a strong interest in pursuing studies at the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering; Functional knowledge of French and English to facilitate collaboration with our teams, clients and stakeholders at the provincial and international levels; Experience with power systems and knowledge of power system analysis software (SKM PTW, ETAP) is considered an asset, preferably ETAP; Good disposition to provide system solutions to customer problems; Good written and oral communication skills of technical topics Who will you report to?
