NURSING STUDENT/APPRENTICE MED/SURG (PD Varied) Centennial Hills

Responsibilities Centennial Hills Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in northwest Las Vegas, the 336-bed hospital offers a wide range of healthcare services including emergency care, surgical services, cardiovascular and neurological care, women’s health, maternity and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and specialty programs in stroke, chest pain, orthopedics, advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine, and outpatient physical therapy. Description/Purpose of Position Responsible for performing patient care/service activities/procedures as outlined by the state board of nursing and within the Nevada Nurse Practice Act. Performs assigned duties under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Qualifications Education Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and has completed at least the first semester of the nursing program. License/Certification Current BLS Certification. Other Nurse Apprentice must provide most current competency check-off list from their school to their supervising manager and maintain current competencies. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to provide care/service appropriate to the patient.
