Spacelabs Healthcare is Temporary Sr. Cyber Security Engineer to join their team in our Spacelabs Snoqualmie office and work with our global cybersecurity team. As Senior Cyber Security Engineer, this role serves as a technical resource in the area of Spacelabs R&D cybersecurity lab and cloud environment for effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values. This individual ensures that existing systems are maintained and configured in a manner that results in providing a working environment that remains fast, stable, and secure for our R&D client's working environment. This role will involve using a degree of independent judgment; working closely with the R&D IT and Global IT departments; understanding and supporting OSI Systems’ mission, priorities, and company values. Responsibilities Responsible for the Windows systems planning, design, implementation, and support. Continually acts to improve systems reliability through preventive maintenance, feature enhancements, automation, and support contracts. Responsible for the vSphere virtual environment. Will be creating, maintaining, moving, and updating virtual machines used for testing and development. These VMs will be using multiple Windows OS flavors. Install new and rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Must be able to work in an SSH and Powershell command-line environment. Responsible for overseeing, supporting, and documenting the secure implementation and administration of the Spacelabs AWS and EC2 cloud services. Manage security controls using SecureFrame (security compliance automation). Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and contribute to and maintain system standards. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting Security lab-related hardware and software related to government install bases. Research and where possible automate approaches for system administration tasks using some command-line and PowerShell scripts. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale. Research, recommends and assists in new technology initiatives. Periodic security testing and evaluation of client upgrades and patches. Update and maintain Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) documentation for product RMF maintenance. Qualifications Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of Enterprise System support certification and experience. Must have AWS Certified Security certifications. At least 5 years of experience with AWS secure cloud implementations. At least 5 years of experience with Windows administration. At least 5 years of experience with Linux/Unix systems administration. At least 3 years of experience working with virtualization infrastructures such as VMware vSphere or Windows Hyper-V. Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation and procedures. Familiarity with networking implementations. Skilled at working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to be able to work across global time zones when the need arises. Must have or be willing and able to obtain a security certification, preferably Security+ and/or CISSP. Must have or be willing and able to obtain a security clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: System administration experience is a plus. Experience with IT enterprise solutions such as patch management and domain controller systems is a plus. Experience with information security in cloud environments (e.g. AWS and Azure). Experience with security testing tools such as vulnerability scanners is a plus. Experience with networking and configuring network infrastructure is a plus. Experience with implementing controls and hardening guidelines such as CIS Benchmarks or Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) is a plus. Experience working with US government agencies is a plus. Experience working with government RMF processes such as DoD 8510.01 is a plus.
