This means, these nurses are moving from clinical practice areas they are currently working or have prior experience, into a new specialty. Just like the RN Residency, an experienced nurse may be hired into one of the different specialties we have to participate in the RN Fellowship program. Follow aseptic sterile technique according to Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses / American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nurses (AORN/ASPAN) standards. Evaluate patient's responses to treatments and interventions. Manage patient's pain. Anticipate case-specific needs based on knowledge of procedure(s) performed and pathophysiology. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
