<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood Process & Energy is recruiting for an experienced C&I Engineer to support with<br />
<br />
EPC for Energy, Chemical and Refining Projects.<br />
<br />
The role is required to work under lead to support the execution of C&I scope across all Project phases (Concept to Start-up).<br />
<br />
Responsibilities</p>
<ul>
<li>Project work as C&I Engineer for projects as required by the Lead/Senior Engineer on C&I scope on projects</li>
<li>Execute instrument engineering activities (Concept, FEED & Detailed Design)</li>
<li>Scope site modification / maintenance orders and execute C&I deliverables associated with modifications</li>
<li>Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract</li>
<li>Responsible for effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems</li>
<li>Carry out work in accordance with company and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems</li>
<li>Maintain the required technical quality or work</li>
<li>Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures, standards and regulations</li>
<li>Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule</li>
<li>Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline.</li>
<li>Maintain good communication with the Client and visit Assets when necessary</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Skills / Qualifications</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience with working on projects for the Energy, Chemicals and Refining Sectors</li>
<li>Experience with working within a project team as C&I engineer and on C&I teams across a range of industry sectors on projects from concept to start-up.</li>
<li>Be a Self-motivated team player working on own initiative under supervision</li>
<li>Experience with development of Instrument Engineering deliverables as required on a project by project basis</li>
<li>Degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject</li>
<li>Familiar with control and safety system upgrades and modifications</li>
<li>Experience with specification of field instrumentation, analysers and ESD and actuated valves</li>
<li>Experience with sizing of flow devices / control valves / relief devices</li>
<li>Familiar with HAZOP, LOPA, Alarm Reviews and SIL Determination (desired)</li>
<li>Familiar with IEC 61511 Safety Lifecycle and Emergency Shutdown System architecture and design and SIL determination. (desired)</li>
<li>TUV or similar Functional Safety Engineer qualification. (desired)</li>
<li>Familiar with specification of Fire & Gas systems and detection equipment (desired)</li>
<li>Familiar with IT/Telecoms/Networks/Access Control & CCTV Systems (desired)</li>
<li>Familiar in specification and interface management of Instrumentation and Control requirements for Mechanical packages</li>
<li>Familiar with interfacing with Client Engineers personnel to facilitate project execution</li>
<li>Experience with managing and liaison with Vendors to facilitate project execution</li>
<li>Familiar with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) </li>
<li>Familiar in the use of appropriate codes of practice, standards and relevant sections of statutory documentation</li>
<li>Familiar in the use of design and assessment methods used within discipline</li>
<li>Familiar in use of analytical methods used within discipline including theoretical background for analysis programs</li>
<li>Conversant with other discipline key project activities and their interaction with/impact on the C&I scope .</li>
<li>Able to work with other disciplines and draughting sections to meet delivery dates</li>
<li>Familiar in quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work</li>
<li>Familiar in design safety / environmental requirements and procedures</li>
