Mechanical Fitter

<p><b>Overview / Responsibilities </b><br />

Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations.<br />
<br />
We are currently seeking Mechanical Fitters to support our long-term water maintenance partnership. This is a casual role based at Seqwater&
39;s Mt. Crosby Water Treatment Plant and is focused on the delivery of maintenance and mechanical services, working with a dynamic team in the Central Region.<br />
<br />
At this time, we will only consider applications from Australian citizens or those with the required permit/visa for this region, in place.<br />
<br />
<b>Experience</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Pump alignment</li>
<li>Preservation of rotating and static equipment</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience in pressure testing</li>
<li>Asset maintenance background</li>
<li>Experience with data assessment, ordering spares and recording (Microsoft Excel).</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Requirements</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Demonstrable strong commitment to safety</li>
<li>Enjoy working in a team environment and self-motivated</li>
<li>Ability to work autonomously when required, while taking ownership of the role</li>
<li>The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing</li>
</ul>

<p><b>Skills / Qualifications</b></p>

<ul>
<li>Must have relevant Australian recognised trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter</li>
<li>Current First Aid, LVR&amp;CPR, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Breathing Apparatus and Gas Test Atmosphere tickets are all desirable, but not essential</li>
<li>White card or equivalent.</li>
</ul>
