39;re looking for a Senior PHP Developer to work for our client.</p><p>The company brings over twenty years of experience delivering bespoke business applications, data integration and e-commerce solutions. Their blend of skills and backgrounds means they can share their expertise across a wide range of projects and clients. Their knowledge helps plan, design and build bespoke technology systems.</p><p>If you can demonstrate experience in problem-solving and critical thinking, then you could be perfect for our client.</p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>- This is a senior role where you will be expected to liaise with clients, understand their business needs and translate them into solutions.</p><p>- Plan development work, manage, lead, train and nurture the development team.</p><p>- Performs as an expert in multiple parts of the software lifecycle (e.g., coding, testing, development) and coaches others on such practices.</p><p>- Assess and improve production capacity by fine-tuning production workflow and introducing better practices to increase efficiency.</p><p>- You will be expected to work with the CEO on internal projects related to capacity growth, such as rolling out and managing an Apprenticeship scheme and hiring Software Developers.</p><p><b>Key soft skills needed</b></p><p><ul><li>Problem-solving skills and critical thinking</li><li>Communication skills</li><li>People and interpersonal skills</li><li>Self-awareness</li><li>Self-learning</li><li>Accountability</li><li>Time management</li><li>Emotional intelligence</li></ul></p><p><b>Technical skills and experience</b></p><p><ul><li>4+ years of commercial experience with Laravel</li><li>3+ years of commercial experience with WordPress &amp; WooCommerce - developing plugins, and modules</li><li>2+ years of commercial experience with deploying and administering Linux servers</li><li>Good understanding of networking</li><li>4+ years of commercial experience in JS and CSS</li><li>Similar years of experience in Git version control</li><li>Similar years of experience with MySQL DB and, optionally, MongoDB (or any other no-SQL DBs)</li><li>Experience in or exposure to AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform</li><li>Extensive experience in Scrum methodology and resource planning</li><li>Experience in automated testing and techniques</li><li>Stays abreast of industry trends and technologies and knows when/how/if to apply them appropriately</li></ul></p><p><b>Business and analytical skills</b></p><p><ul><li>Has experience of working with complexity and multiple stakeholders</li><li>Balances strategic and pragmatic concerns when solving problems</li><li>Makes decisions that are cognizant of the client&
39;s broader business strategy</li><li>Provides a clear and concise explanation of business strategy, technical concepts, designs or implementation to a non-technical audience</li></ul></p><p><b>The package</b></p><p>- Basic salary: &pound;55,000 - &pound;63,000 per annum, depending on experience.</p><p>The standard working hours for this position are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm. Based in our client&
