Principal Electrical Engineer (Contractor)

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood Process & Energy requires Principal Electrical Engineering services to support with a Pharmaceutical project on an initial 12 month contract. You will be based within our Glasgow office where we recognise the value of hybrid working. <br><br>Responsibilities <br><ul><li> Project work as Lead Engineer for projects as required by the Electrical Discipline Manager including managing electrical scope, change control, budget and schedule.<br> </li><li> Providing Electrical Engineering Expertise<br> </li><li> Providing input to development electrical studies<br> </li><li> Originating and checking and delegation for approval of electrical engineering design deliverables<br> </li><li> Providing support to Engineering manager, Project manager and the delivery team<br> </li><li> Providing technical expertise to the contract<br> </li><li> Resolve discipline related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes and standards<br> </li><li> Adhere to procedures to assure technical integrity of designs<br> </li><li> Provide support for interdiscipline considerations through attendance at required design reviews and undertaking inter discipline checking<br> </li><li> Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract<br> </li><li> Responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems<br> </li><li> Carry out work in accordance with company and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems<br> </li><li> Maintain the required technical quality or work </li><li> Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with Change Control Process<br> </li><li> Ensure that designs comply with the relevant procedures, standards and regulations<br> </li><li> Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule<br> </li><li> Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review<br> </li><li> Maintain good communication with the Client and visit Assets when necessary<br><br> </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Experience with working within a project team to lead electrical engineering and manage electrical teams across a range of industry sectors. on Medium / Large capital projects from concept to start-up.<br> </li><li> Be a Self-motivated team player working on own initiative.<br> </li><li> Experience with development of Electrical Engineering deliverables as required on a project by project basis<br> </li><li> Degree or equivalent in appropriate engineering subject<br> </li><li> Chartered Engineer status as a Member of Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)<br> </li><li> API Pharmaceutical experience </li></ul><br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
