What your role is An exciting opportunity to lead a young, dynamic insights team looking to drive impact and action on some of Europe and Australia’s best known and loved food brands. Leading consumer and market insights in the region, this experienced leader will oversee all learning plans across critical growth platforms, upskill the team in the digitization of insights and predictive analytics, build trusted partnerships with cross functional leaders and grow the reputation of the function internally and externally. Key Accountabilities Lead and develop a talented team of ten insights professionals, with a particular focus on helping them spend 80% of their time on the ‘so-what’ and reducing time getting the ‘what’ to 20% of their time. Create culture of experimentation, sharing and learning. Build trust, alignment and confidence with regional stakeholders and establish Ways of Working with functional partners Leveraging global best practices, continuing to mold efficient Ways of Working with Marketing and R&D. Deliver undeniable impact by driving action against real consumer problems Provide oversight and guidance to team on approach & budget against the highest business priorities Accelerate the function’s digital and analytical prowess within the region Step-change how EUAU approaches ‘trends/foresights’ to bring actionable ability to ‘see around the corner’ on our biggest brands and plan against this. Oversee all learning plans on critical growth platforms ensuring team prioritize their time on the biggest bets Build trusted partnerships with new suppliers enabling competitive advantage for General Mills over time Partner with the Centres of Excellence to pilot and roll out best practice from NAR (North American Retail) business within EUAU Develop a culture of curiosity, learning and empathy and role model this effectively. Share best practice proactively with other regional insights leads Represent the region at a global level, building pride and team recognition.
