Heat Transfer Project Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood is looking for <b>a Heat Trasnfer Project Engineer</b> with proven experience in heat exchangers designs. <br><br>The successful candidate will join the discipline team working in our current major projects and will report to the designated discipline lead or manager. <br><br>Among others, his / her responsibilities will include: <br><ul><li> Participates in the coordination of the engineering activities during the development of the project </li><li> Coordinates the preparation of Project Specifications by the various discipline departments </li><li> Assists / prepares the Project Execution Plan (PEP) in collaboration with the Lead Engineer and the Project Manager </li><li> Prepares the thermal and mechanical designs, material requisition for packages, etc., interfacing with the project team and the Client </li><li> Assists the Engineering Coordinator in the review of approved Project schedules and ensures that the Detailed Programs include all the Engineering activities of the units under his charge </li><li> Prepares the Project Specifications as assigned </li><li> Prepares the requisitions of the assigned package units or special equipments and the corresponding technical tabulations </li><li> Reviews and approves the vendor drawings of the equipments requisitioned by him / herself. </li><li> Identifies and follows up the Contract Changes </li><li> Prepares man-hour estimates to support contract changes </li><li> Assists / prepares the monthly Progress Report </li><li> Technical skills for detail engineering work </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Relevant Diploma / Degree in Mining, Industrial or Chemical Engineering </li><li> Proven record ranging from 2 to 5 years of relevant experience performing equivalent duties, preferably with heat exchangers designs </li><li> Conversant with international codes and standards (ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, etc) </li><li> Knowledge of Autocad, SolidWorks, Codecalc/PvElite and HTRI </li><li> Teamwork capabilities, flexibility, problem solving attitude, orientation to results, relational skills, specific technical knowledge </li><li> Ready to work in an international environment and to learn international engineering working practices </li><li> Spanish language at native level </li><li> Excellent command of English </li><li> Valid European Work Permit </li><li> Driving licence </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
