Our goal is to continuously grow the group's core research expertise in the area of signal and imaging processing, telemetry, modeling and inversion, high-performance computing, and AI-assisted data analytics, to maximize the efficiency and values of the data, and to ensure the long-term success of Halliburton.<br> <br><b>Responsibilities</b><br> <ul><li>Work as a team in Global Signal Processing Center of Excellence, Halliburton</li><li>Conducting research and development in the areas of signal and imaging processing, modeling and inversion, and AI-assisted data analytics for solving challenging problems in the oil & gas industry.</li><li>Using data-driven and physics-based approaches, conduct research and development on the quantitative analysis of a mechanical system with various sources of uncertainties or nonlinearities. </li><li>Recognize and estimate key parameters that influence a complex mechanical system.</li><li>Developing creative/innovative solutions and new technology.</li><li>Collaborating with team members and providing necessary support for technology transfer.</li><li>Develops design documentation and presents to stakeholders in design reviews, as required by Halliburton lifecycle process, and seeks approval.</li><li>Publishing results in patent applications, technical journals, and conference proceedings.</li></ul><br> <br><b>Required Education and Skills</b><br> <ul><li>A Ph.D. (or equivalent qualification) in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Geophysics, or related background.</li><li>Strong background in STEM.</li><li>4+ years of experience as an academic or industrial technical contributor with established records. </li><li>Demonstrated experience or knowledge in engineering mechanics, geomechanics, rock mechanics, rock elastic, and data processing.</li><li>Previous experience with drilling engineering is highly desirable, especially on drillstring vibration, drillbit design, drillbit/rock interaction, and/or directional drilling techniques. </li><li>Extensive knowledge and experience in signal and imaging processing, modeling, and inversion.</li><li>Extensive knowledge and experience in AI/machine learning implementation in a certain domain.</li><li>Proficient in numerical analysis in either MATLAB, Python and/or C/C++/C
