Process Engineer - Digital COE

Come be part of something special - start your journey today! <br><br>To be part of the digital team within Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) in the Digital CoE and contribute to the development of advanced analytics, process modelling and optimization, asset health monitoring, using either physics or data-driven approaches or a combination of both. The position requires the candidate to have the deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills.<br><br><b>Primary Responsibilities</b><br><ul><li>Primarily works in applications related to water/ wastewater treatment or chemical processes.</li><li>Performance assessment of water treatment and chemical systems using first principles and data-driven techniques</li><li>Identify the root causes for deviations in performance of assets through necessary data analysis and simulation studies.</li><li>Developing and delivering technical solutions for water and chemical plants using process simulation, modelling and optimization techniques and performance monitoring algorithms.</li><li>Understand operating philosophy of customers, its impact on assets and propose means to improve asset performance. </li><li>Participate and contribute to the development of novel technology in the application of water treatment problems.</li><li>Collaborate with global engineering, technology, and commercial teams to conceptualize and develop novel digital solutions.</li><li>To coordinate with project leaders and other stakeholders, in an Agile Development environment to ensure continuous delivery of analytics products.</li></ul><br><b>Qualification</b><br><ul><li>Bachelors degree or equivalent in Chemical or Environmental or Mechanical Engineering is required, a Master Degree or equivalent is preferred</li><li>At least 3 years of experience in design and modeling of chemical/ petrochemical/water treatment systems is required, 5 or more is preferred.</li><li>Experienced in mass & energy balance, hydrodynamics, phase equilibria, and solution hermodynamics, first principle and data driven models.</li><li>Experience in water treatment systems, Physico-chemical models, separation techniques, deposit prevention, etc.</li><li>Experience in process engineering tools and programming language.</li></ul><br><b>Desired</b><br><br>Knowledge of IIoT and cloud computing techniques and practices.<br><br>We offer competitive compensation and benefits working in a dynamic environment with challenging projects and training provided to ensure your success.<br><br>We realize diverse teams make smarter decisions, deliver better results, and build stronger communities.
