With a comprehensive portfolio spanning some of the most challenging subsea developments worldwide, Baker Hughes provide a fully integrated comprehensive portfolio of systems and products to deliver optimal subsea solutions. <br><br><b> Play a pivotal role in the Leadership of a world class subsea business </b><br><br>As a Global Engineering Leader for New Product Development, you will lead a multidiscipline and culturally diverse team that provide smarter technology for more efficient monitoring, maximum production, and reduced risk. <br><br>You will report day to day to the Strategy and Technology Business Lead, but have a functional reporting line to the Subsea Projects and Services engineering leader. <br><br>You will be responsible for shaping and coordinating a portfolio of new product designs and have overall responsibility for the staff allocated to the projects. You will work with the Strategy and Technology team and associated product managers to ensure that the products developed fit into the business's multi generation product and technology plans. <br><br>You will also be responsible for:<br><ul><li>Hiring, developing and maintaining a successful and high-quality NPI engineering population while strengthening morale and cohesion across the teams</li><li>Mentoring and coaching cross-functional project teams throughout the entire Project Life Cycle working in close collaboration with product management and other engineering functions in a matrix structure</li><li>Making critical and informed investment decisions on patents and driving these for collective leadership approval</li><li>Attending industry conferences and networking events to keep abreast of innovation and evangelising these to encourage creative thinking</li><li>Leading in house projects to fruition including structured and standardisation through to cutting edge innovation requiring resource and finance allocation</li><li>Applying existing technologies, approaches, methodologies in new combinations to facilitate the continuous improvement and innovation of new products and technologies</li></ul><br><br><b> Fuel your passion </b><br><br>To be successful in this role you will:<br><ul><li>Be highly adept and innovative, an agile and creative thinker.</li><li>Be committed to your career development and demonstrate a strong history of progressively more challenging roles.</li><li>Demonstrate a solid technical and commercial understanding of products and applications that relate to (or be applicable to) the subsea sector</li><li>Demonstrate a customer centric approach and mindset - to fully understand customer needs, business goals and translate requirements into actionable results</li><li>Have a natural ability to engage, inspire, influence and build trusted relationships with teams across the business</li><li>Have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences</li></ul><br><br><b> Work in a way that works for you </b><br><br>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
