Director Finance

Who are we hiring? The Director, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis serves as the strategic and financial partner to the Technology, Finance, Legal, Risk Management, and Executive Corporate areas of the company. The position is responsible for assisting in completing all assignments of the Corporate Financial Planning Group. This will include obtaining financial and operations information from the various MSGE Corporate Departments in order to provide strategic and financial data and analysis of MSGE's Corporate operations. The Director will also be responsible for ad hoc financial analyses as requested by management. The Director will support the VP and SVP of Financial Planning with the day-to-day operations of the department. What will you do? · Work closely with the financial representatives of MSGE's Corporate Departments in planning, executing, compiling, and analyzing the company's periodic results, outlooks, forecasts, annual strategic plan and budget, and long-term plans. Present results to SVP, Financial Planning, and EVP/CFO. · Gather information and provide analysis in supporting other ongoing responsibilities of the Financial Planning Group, including Board of Directors meetings, annual bonus plan calculations, earnings releases, periodic P&L analyses · Provide insightful financial analyses, meaningful and accurate forecasts, clear explanations of business results, and guidance on financial consequences of strategic decisions. · Represent the financial point of view in executive discussions and provide senior finance leadership and counsel to executives supported · Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate monthly financial close processes for corporate departments · Directly support Senior Management across the company on ad hoc projects requiring financial analysis skills. · Utilize financial planning software as necessary to support information requests What do you need to succeed? · Ability to gather information from and communicate information to personnel at all levels of the organization in an effective and professional manner. · Ability to present to and respond directly to senior management (EVP, SVP level) · Ability to prepare executive level presentations and analyses · Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a deadline-oriented environment · Ability to work without constant supervision · Strong financial planning skills and extensive knowledge of financial analysis techniques including PV, ROI, discounted cash flow · Ability to quickly analyze large volumes of different types of data, discern key items, present information, and draw conclusions · Ability to analyze financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows · Strong technical skills with financial software such as Excel and Oracle EPBCS/Smartview · Ability to develop financial business plans. · Minimum 8+ years financial reporting/planning experience, particularly forecasting and budgeting · BS in Finance or Accounting required Why is MSG for me?
