Site Project Engineer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood has an opening for <b>a Project Engineer (PEng) </b>to work with our team at our construction site near Gogama, Ontario.Reporting to the Project Director and / or, Area Project Manager and functionally to the Office Engineering Manager in our Oakville, ON office, this role will assist in the coordination of the execution of project actives. <br><br><b> Responsibilities: </b><br><ul><li> Plan project activities and develop the project schedule </li><li> Develop the total installed cost estimate </li><li> Perform all aspects of project integration activities including project reporting, monitoring and controlling and resource forecasting </li><li> Work with Project Controls to monitor project metrics and to control project costs and schedule on a continual basis </li><li> Prepare required trends expeditiously to reflect scope changes, cost and schedule impacts per Change Management protocol </li><li> Assist in project QA/QC activities to ensure project execution meets the requirements prescribed in the PEP/DBM </li><li> Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work in one discipline/project/staff group </li><li> Coordinate engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups/disciplines with clients, suppliers and contractors and between other divisional groups </li><li> Compile and complete project technical reports </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> At least 5 years of experience on mining projects </li><li> Bachelor degree in Engineering </li><li> Professional Engineer designation </li><li> Good working knowledge of applicable industry codes and guideline </li><li> Formal Project Management training would be an asset </li><li> Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li> Organized, systematic and competent to perform detailed technical tasks </li><li> Demonstrated problem solving skills </li><li> Must be familiar in working in a multi-discipline setting, with ability to coordinate and communicate with each discipline </li><li> Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
