Operations Manager, Clinical Services- Operating Room- Mount Sinai Hospital- Day Shift

Roles & Responsibilities: Directs the day-to-day management of clinical services for the scheduling and document management department in peri op. Manages and oversees all staff in the unit and provides excellent customer service to all from self and members of the department. Responsible for documentation management, accuracy of surgical schedule etc. Duties and Responsibilities Directs and manages day-to-day clinical operations and monitoring of staff assigned to unit. Actively participates in hiring of new staff, orientation process, counseling and effective evaluation process. Ensures that all annual mandatory education requirements are completed for self and staff. Provides monthly staffing schedule 30 days in advance to ensure the unit and the main nurses station in the OR is covered 24/7. Maintains and communicates any changes in the block time allocation grids in timely manner. Must be proficient in the day-to-day operations for scheduling and preparation of the OR patient folders. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to troubleshoot issues and have ability to network and seek solutions to any issues identified Must have monthly staff meetings to ensure good communication to all. Establish and foster cross training for all in the department to expand coverage and to assist in the growth of staff. Generates reports to facilitate quantitative and qualitative data analysis as needed.. Conducts environmental safety rounds on a month basis or more often to ensure that unit is organized and equipment for staff is in good working order. Actively participates in work groups, discussions and committees as needed. Requirements: High School Diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred Previous scheduling experience required. The salary range for the role is $71,713.00 - $107,569.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
