Senior Sustainability Analyst

The Senior Sustainability Analyst will support and assist in the delivery of high-impact services and solutions that create client value, financial and environmental impact reductions, and develop / track performance against client goals and strategies. Overall, the Sustainability Analyst will have a disciplined focus on supporting the broader Americas Sustainability Operations team as well as providing and supporting the delivery of sustainability services and solutions in South America. Schneider Electric is seeking candidates with experience and competencies in the below responsibility areas. Position responsibilities: · Research, distill and communicate impacts of market developments on client programs; · Work with client stakeholders to track and communicate corporate targets, strategies, and goals through activities such as quantitative analysis, competitive benchmarking, and implementation planning; · Develop greenhouse gas (GHG) / carbon emissions inventories, water footprints, waste footprints, and other social & governance metrics through data collection, data analysis, and emission factor application; · Lead client corporate reporting such as CDP, GRESB, GRI through gap assessments, inventory development, and drafting of qualitative responses; · Perform rigorous quantitative analysis of empirical data with particular focus on environmental data such as carbon, water, and waste; · Research, warehouse, and communicate emerging information and trends relating to global sustainability such as ESG legislation, climate risk and resiliency, corporate social responsibility, supply chain, corporate target setting – through direct client communications as well as other external communications for broader dissemination; · Support and partner with multi-disciplinary teams within Schneider Electric to help coordinate service delivery; · Build and support relationships with industry working groups, trade associations, regulatory entities, vendors, and product/service companies, in collaboration with service development areas; · Stay current on established and emerging themes in sustainability through intra-team cross-training, participation in external webinars, independent research, and participation in client forums, industry/trade association conferences, and workshops; · Support the analysis, development and testing of Schneider Electric’s proprietary web-based tools; · Learn and demonstrate increasing knowledge of industry concepts regarding energy and sustainability trends, environmental and carbon legislation, and reporting across a broad spectrum of markets; · Some domestic and international travel necessary (5-15%). Essential skills and qualifications: · Portuguese language fluency (verbal and written); · English language fluency (verbal and written); · Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability or Environmental Science, Energy, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related technical field with 2-3 years of related professional experience and an interest in pursuing a career in sustainability; · Experience with the preparation of greenhouse gas inventories; · Project management experience; · Strong aptitude for learning new and different topics; · Proven track record in developing, managing, and executing client solutions; · Demonstrated ability of building successful relationships; · Ability to communicate, both written and verbally, complex analysis in a concise and effective manner; · Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; · Versatility and the ability to learn, and work across multiple disciplines; · Ability to work well with a large network of internal colleagues; · High commitment to company vision, values, and excellent customer service; · Analytical self-starter with strong attention to detail; · Proficient experience in Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of advanced Excel preferred. Non-Essential but preferred skills and qualifications: · Spanish language fluency (verbal and written); · Consulting or advisory experience; · Energy and / or environmental experience, particularly related to carbon, water, and / or waste; · Experience with data management processes and technology tools or systems.
