Business Intelligence Manager

We’re looking for a highly skilled Business Intelligence Manager to drive the data and analytics agenda forward. You'll have the opportunity to work on the mission-critical technology initiatives to enable huge improvements in the way we derive value from our data. The Business Intelligence Manager is a key role across Rentokil Initial, building the core analytics platform, driving value from data across the business and enabling the self service community that you are working with. With strong technical skills and business acumen to help turn millions of potential data points into actionable insights that can drive product improvements, make our customer acquisition more efficient, improve our customer retention rates, and drive operating efficiencies across the business. The primary goals of the team are: To build and run an analytics platform which can create and deliver reports to colleagues and customers To create a self service BI platform and community unlocking the value of our data Key Tasks: Design and develop reporting solutions that provide consistent, reliable and automated delivery of data, internally and to our Partners. Develop reports and dashboards using group approved business intelligence tool sets for internal and external customers Leverage analytic problem solving skills in working with large disparate, datasets to report portfolio operational metrics and performance To work with Lead Developers and Lead Architects on the adoption of new technologies into the estate, ensuring that these are shared with other areas and that they align with RI standards. Act as governance / competency for the team – ensuring Product Teams and the key Self Service stakeholders are adhering to standards but more importantly, actively driving your skill into the teams through such techniques as pairing, brown bag sessions and retrospectives. Operate the Rentokil Initial global analytics platform; the “Command Centre” Provide expert advice to product teams on best way to use existing services and utilities from the repository Requirements An absolutely top communicator. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, dealing with competing priorities and ensuring we deliver what we say we will Experienced in working in Agile environment following Agile methodologies (eg Scrum Agile) Expert level and advanced experience in data visualization tool sets as a developer, and architecting data models Strong with SQL for data interrogation and transformation, a robust understanding of relational data and the ability to manipulate fact data along multiple dimensions. Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing data High level of analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to details Use of source code version control (e.g. Git, Bitbucket) Good database knowledge and SQL skills (ideally BigQuery expertise) Experience with automation/configuration management Experience working with Qlik Sense & QAP, PowerBI or similar visualisation tools Investigate, evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies
