Lead Electrical Engineer - Alkmaar, Netherlands

<br><br> I am currently looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer working for a large petrochemical company to be based in Alkmaar on a 12 months renewable contract. <br><br>  <br><br> KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br><ul><li>Technical Authority for the electrical discipline and custodian of performance standards</li><li>Coordinates the electrical engineering team, ensuring work is prioritized and progressed with appropriate timing and quality</li><li>Ensures industry standards and relevant legislation are adhered to or exceeded</li><li>Provides direction, engineering support or advises on modifications, improvements and new projects</li><li>Takes the lead in resolving non-routine problems related to electrical systems and equipment</li><li>Performs root cause analyses of system failures</li><li>Coordinates electrical related projects</li><li>Supervises engineering & installation contractors</li><li>Keeps up to date with latest changes in legislation and industry standards and ensures that the changes are incorporated in inspection and maintenance programs</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING<br><br><ul><li>Recognised degree in Electrical Engineering, University degree or Bachelor level</li><li>More than 10 years' experience in electrical engineering, preferably experience in the following fields:<ul><li>Low Voltage and High Voltage systems</li><li>Electrical drive systems</li><li>Electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres (ATEX)</li><li>Knowledge of relevant electrical and instrument standards</li></ul></li></ul>EXPERIENCE<br><br><ul><li>Pro-active attitude</li><li>Skills to prioritize and progress HSSE, Operations and Project related work</li><li>Skills to lead and develop a small team of junior engineers</li><li>Understanding of engineering contracts and procedures</li><li>Understanding of electrical diagnostic and measurement methods, including interpretation of results (e.g., partial discharge testing)</li><li>The ability to work in multi-discipline project teams</li><li>Client-side experience on an operating facility</li><li>Practical field experience troubleshooting equipment failure</li><li>VCA Vol training</li><li>Experience with safety-related reviews like HAZOP, SIL</li><li>Experience with project engineering / project management</li><li>Fluent in Dutch and English</li></ul> <br /><br />To help Leap29 find you that perfect job, we need to store and process your personal information.<br />That means that your details will be entered into Leap29's database and our consultants may contact you from time to time with relevant job opportunities.<br />By applying you're confirming you're happy for us to do that!
