Overview PNNL operates a multi-platform workstation environment consisting of Windows, macOS and Linux for the enterprise. This role is part of the desktop operations team specifically responsible for working as part of the team to ensure workstations are updated, configured, secured and patched in compliance with enterprise SLA’s. Responsibilities Applies engineering and technical principles to the design and development of computer networks, cyber security infrastructure, telecommunications, information technology systems and tools, and database systems. Analyzes, installs, integrates, modifies, and supports all associated systems, networks, software, and databases. Plans and conducts projects after analysis of functional and operational requirements. May consult with and lead cross-functional teams. Your key responsibilities and accountabilities would include: A focus on automation including advanced scripting technologies at scale Develop and maintain Enterprise level configuration management systems for Windows and macOS environmentsEngineer, test, deploy and manage client images and provisioning for MacOS and Windows devices using Autopilot and Apple Device Enrollment. Manage, maintain, and evolve enterprise client management systems such as InTune Drive efficiencies in end-point deployment and management through modern tools and processes Test and validate new end user facing hardware. Serve as ultimate escalation point for technical support teams. Develop and assess innovative solutions for business driven projects and initiatives. As necessary, perform other duties as required. Deliver an immersive, any device from anywhere approach to applications and data leveraging integrations with cloud services and cutting edge virtualization technologies Transition traditional on-premise back office application management to Microsoft 365 hybrid cloud management Troubleshoot, research, and resolve complex technical issues Write procedures and documentation for processes to aid in troubleshooting and review Participate in peer reviews by sharing your work and providing feedback to others Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: BS/BA and 2 years of relevant experience -OR- MS/MA -OR- PhD Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge on End User Computing Devices (Laptop / Desktop) Knowledge on Windows 10 and macOS X Experience with PowerShell/Bash and other scripting languages for automation Good troubleshooting skills on MS Office, O365, Edge and other Operating system related issues Knowledge on PC and peripheral Hardware troubleshooting (including print & scanning devices) Working knowledge on Dell/HP/Apple laptops/Desktops hardware issues Mobile Device Management support with Intune Experience on Windows Imaging Experience on Data Migration tools and O365 One drive Good communication skills. Additional Information This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance.
