Role Summary: This ambitious and exciting role will support the local implementation and management of the Health Care Compliance (HCC) program for Janssen GCC (UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman). Reporting to the HCC Officer GCC Pharma, the HCC Manager ensures business practices and activities align with related J&J internal guidelines, local laws and regulations; and anti-corruption laws including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The HCC Manager will engage as a strategic business partner and advisor for other Janssen GCC employees, to assure that a culture of compliance and accountability is inherent in day to day business. The successful candidate will support a business with high-reaching goals and evolving business models. Strong leadership skills to influence a shift to risk-based decision making while promoting appropriate ‘tone at the top’ will be required. Janssen GCC is seeking an individual capable of navigating complexities and able to strongly convey internal messaging, and apply external legislative frameworks to resolve compliance challenges. An innovative approach in order to understand the strategic direction of the Janssen GCC organization and dedication to finding the right solutions are needed to help achieve business goals consistent with our Business Integrity Guide. Duties and Responsibilities: Main contact point for Therapy Area Country Value Teams (CVTs) giving HCC guidance and advice on related projects and activities Enhance Third Party Intermediary (TPI) and Business Sponsors management particularly in high risk markets/geographies Crafting the local monitoring plan based on the EMEA Pharma Annual Monitoring Plan. Proposing updates/improvements to detected gaps. Management Action Plans development and execution, particularly in response to investigations of a critical nature. Provide guidance related to increased interaction with government entities, Janssen footprint enhancement activities and external engagements/communications. Steer the Organisation's multi-functional Governance Committee Qualifications Qualifications: BA/BS advanced degree or equivalent. 6 years+ of business experience in a compliance related function within the healthcare industry. Knowledge of GCC/Middle East/Africa Code of Practice. Proven understanding of anti-corruption legislation. Pharmaceutical industry experience in functions such as Healthcare Compliance, Legal, Regulatory Affairs or Finance. Broad picture understanding and an innovative approach. Effective negotiating skills and ability to handle complexities in an open and constructive manner is vital. Independent, agile decision making essential. Ability to deal with ambiguity and demonstrate strong organizational understanding, process and interpersonal skills. Must work independently and optimally including under time and business pressure. Ability to work well between functions and across all levels of the business. Knowledge of laws, regulations and industry standards is critical. English language a prerequisite. Fluency in English, Arabic language is a plus.
