We collaborate with our development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, geoscience, to develop innovative drilling tools. <br><br><b> Partner with the best </b><br><br>As a Material Scientist - Chemistry (m/f/d) you will be working in a multi-disciplinary project team within our material elastomer R&D Team. You will be the key subject matter expert leading developments, compound designs, injection molding processes for polymer and elastomer materials. <br><br>As a Material Scientist - Chemistry (m/f/d) you will be responsible for: <br><ul><li>Analyzing for product development and support with emphasis on scientific understanding of structure-property relationships, failure analysis, design of manufacturing processes and reliability analysis<br></li><li>Leading and conducting research projects that improve the understanding of property - field performance relations<br></li><li>Defining property requirements for new compound developments<br></li><li>Collaborating with engineering and product development<br></li><li>Leading and conducting laboratory examinations for failure analysis, quality control and process optimization<br></li><li>Working independently and in team, delivering project presentations, and able travel to vendors and universities<br></li></ul><br><br><b> Fuel your passion </b><br><br>To be successful in this role you will: <br><ul><li>Have successfully completed your Master studies or PhD in organic chemistry or materials sciences with polymer or elastomer<br></li><li>Have proven experience in polymer or elastomer<br></li><li>Have an good understanding of polymer science, manufacturing processes, analytical characterizations and measurement techniques.<br></li><li>Have good knowledge n compound design and polymer selection of typical polymers used in oil& gas, automotive, aerospace, marine or similar industries<br></li><li>Have a good understanding of required analytical methods<br></li><li>Have orientated problem solving skills and be action-oriented, ethical in value, and have a deep customer focus <br></li><li>Have good written and verbal skills in English and in German<br></li></ul><br><br><b>Work in a way that works for you</b><br><br>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone.
