Job Description S&P Global Ratings The Role:  Specialist, Finance and BI Analyst The Grade: Grade 9 The Team: The FP&A team consists of US and UK based employees and predominantly have a focus on expenses and consolidation. This position will report into the Associate Director who is based in London. The Business: S&P Global Ratings vision is to be the preferred provider of independent, rigorous and innovative credit ratings and insights, that increase transparency, and drive growth in global financial markets. The Impact: This position will help drive the development of Tableau dashboards which is important to meet digital finance goals. This role will be key in supporting the ongoing maintenance and build-out of dashboards. The resource will play a key role in assisting with the conversion of reports and tracking the overall project requirements/deliverables within the Ratings Finance team. The role will also involve supporting the team with monthly reporting requirements and variance analysis. Responsibilities: Assist in development work for Tableau dashboards Perform monthly maintenance and oversight of developed dashboards to ensure proper functionality Assist with monthly financial reporting process, including P&L reporting and analysis. Analyze historical data for trends and unusual variances; comparing results to estimate and budget. Assist preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on Smartview (preparation, tie-out, review, support file maintenance) Assist with investigating/addressing exceptions identified in data outputs Minimum requirement: Must have experience working within a Finance function including an understanding of finance processes. Must have Tableau experience including the ability to transform and visualize data. Other Skills: Ability to take lead in BI projects and pro-actively suggest innovative solutions. Strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
