Senior Piping Designer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br>Wood has an opportunity for Senior Piping Designer. There is an increased thrust to deliver our services for the growing Asian market. As a result of this, Piping Department operation is expanding and evolving to manage the challenges of regional projects that continue to pose challenges in offering our services through a global talent pool. <br><br><ul><li> Report to the Piping Discipline Head / Assigned project Lead Piping Engineer </li><li> Execute designing and drafting activities following the instructions given by the Area Piping Engineer in accordance with the quality system in force within the Discipline, job requirements, and time schedule </li><li> Develop Plot plan and Equipment layouts under the supervision and following the instructions of Area Piping Engineer according to the established Technical Work Practices </li><li> Develop 2D Piping General Arrangement Drawings under the supervision and following the instructions of Area Piping Engineer according to the established Technical Work Practices </li><li> Perform Piping study in 3D model </li><li> Develop 3D model using PDS, Aveva 7 SP3D based on the study layouts under the supervision and following the instructions of Area Piping Engineer according to the established Technical Work Practices </li><li> Prepare Isometric sketches for all Stress critical lines with the possible support locations and assist the stress engineer to carry out stress analysis </li><li> Review, Remodel and Update the model based on the Internal, Client reviews, latest Supplier information and Isometric checking comments and maintain the clash free model </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br><ul><li> Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with more than 10 years' experience in Refinery / Petrochemical / Chemical / Power Plant projects </li><li> Thorough knowledge of Equipment layout Development, Piping layout design for all types of equipment such as Vessels, Exchangers, Tanks, Pumps, Compressors etc and Piping MTO </li><li> Familiar and hands on experience with design and drafting tools like PDS / AutoCAD is a must . Hands on experience in Aveva E3D / SP3D Microstation I sketch etc. is desired </li><li> Experience in brown field projects is desired </li><li> Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive </li><li> Possess good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills </li><li> Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can-do attitude and a desire to win </li><li> Promote an open and informal communication environment that aims at growing mutual trust and teamwork </li></ul> <br><br><b> Company Overview </b><br><br>Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
