Trainee Machine Operator

We also use applied technology expertise to serve the defense, entertainment, material handling, aerospace, science, and renewable energy industries. <br><br><b> Duties & Responsibilities </b><br><br>We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our team as a Trainee Machine Operator. <br><br> You will be trained how to operate and programme CNC machinery, tool selection, measuring techniques and quality control. <br><br> No prior experience is necessary; however we ask for the candidate to be:<ul> <li> Hardworking </li> <li> Reliable </li> <li> Dedicated </li> <li> Willing to develop and learn </li> </ul><br><b> FUNCTIONS </b><ul> <li> Identification of raw material and checking of log numbers. </li> <li> Setting up of machine to manufacture parts as per drawings/BOMs. </li> <li> Inspection of finished parts. </li> <li> Completion of all related paperwork. </li> <li> Programming the CNC Machines in order to manufacture Grayloc connectors. </li> <li> Machine parts as described on Job Orders ensuring all Quality requirements are met. </li> <li> Self inspection of machined product and stamping off of same as acceptable. </li> <li> Inspection of sub-contract machined products. </li> <li> Calibration of measuring equipment used daily. </li> <li> Operating forklifts and cranes as required. </li> <li> Maintaining a clean work area. </li> <li> Assist in other manufacturing operations as required (i.e building remotes/boxing sealrings) </li> <li> Complete timecards on a daily basis. </li> </ul><br><b> Safety </b> <br><br> Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment. <br><br> <b> Other </b> <br><br> The list of the job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post. <br><br> Assist with any other duties as and when required. <br><br> Undertake specific projects as instructed by management. <br><br> Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. <br><br> Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company. <br><br> Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment. <br><br> <b> Supervisory Responsibilities </b><ul> <li> This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities. </li> </ul><br><b> Qualifications </b><ul> <li> No prior experience is necessary. </li> </ul><br><b> Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics </b><ul> <li> Must have strong computer programming skills </li> <li> Must have good problem solving skills </li> <li> Must have excellent time management skills </li> <li> Must have good organizational and planning skills </li> <li> Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills </li> <li> Must be mechanically minded </li> <li> Must be highly detail oriented </li> <li> Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision </li> </ul><br><b> Closing Statement </b><br><br>We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to advance in an international company.
