Principal Reliability Engineer - Minneapolis or Remote

OVERVIEW This posting is for an expert level Principal Reliability Engineer role on the Corporate Maintenance and Reliability team. The Principal Reliability Engineer is a technical expert and coach providing support across all regions and businesses driving improvement through equipment optimization, asset care strategies, and continuous improvement methodologies. They have a solid understanding of CMMS data utilization, job plan optimization, component failure analysis, and lubrication best practices. The Principal Reliability Engineer is responsible for setting the strategic direction to maximize asset utilization at the lowest life cycle cost through technical leadership, coaching, and loss elimination efforts. This role will report directly to the Corporate Maintenance and Reliability Manager while building a strong network within the technical and operations communities of practice. This position is based in Minneapolis but is remote eligible. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Provides global strategic direction in optimizing equipment care strategies across business-critical platforms Provides direction and coaching on the use of CMMS data to determine maintenance work effectiveness and drive improvements in Preventative/Predictive maintenance strategies Develops global standard work procedures and partners with Learning and Development to enable capability improvements Owns global standard development on one or more PM system and provides support for overall integration of PM systems Provides expertise and support for deployment of Lubrication Management System to enable world class precision lubrication Provides expertise and support for deployment of Defect Handling Provides expertise and support for deployment of Breakdown Elimination Develops deep technical capability in component functionality and root cause analysis within self and others Provides technical expertise and coaching to implement breakdown prevention methods Provides leadership in the utilization of advanced focused improvement/problem-solving methodologies Develops and delivers technical training to all levels of the organization, develops capability of others to act as technical trainers/coaches Participates in strategy development for Corporate Maintenance and Reliability team Leads loss reduction efforts to improve equipment reliability, manufacturing cost, and safety across business-critical platforms Supports capital projects by leading design for reliability and maintainability activities MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years manufacturing experience Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related degree with applicable experience or extensive relevant work experience Strong communication skills at all levels of the organization, written and verbal Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), or ability to gain certification within 6 months PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Problem solving capability; basic troubleshooting through advanced problem-solving methods Demonstrated experience within Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System Demonstrated expertise of technology, including complexities of products, equipment, and costs Demonstrated expertise of proper elements of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program Development of best practice standards for all Maintenance functions and activities Experience with World Class Maintenance, TPM, or similar systems Ability to teach/train technical resources through complex breakdown or equipment issues COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves.
