Measurement Engineer

Our client is a global manufacturer of Petrochemical, Speciality Chemicals and Oil products, due to continued growth they are now looking to add a Measurement Engineer to their team. You will provide Measurement Engineering support to all Assets and provide input to management of the Customers measurement systems located on the offshore platforms and onshore terminals. You will lead the measurement discipline to deliver improved plant availability through the application of asset care, reliability engineering, technical support and the development / implementation of modifications.<br> <br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><ul><li>Accountable for understanding and putting into practice the company Principles</li><li>Maintaining and monitoring asset measurement systems.</li><li>Develop and own the measurement long-term plan and budget</li><li>Act as Measurement single point of accountability (SPA) for Asset strategy.</li><li>Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support and ensure compliance with the necessary codes and standards for the discipline.</li><li>Lead any Regulator and Customer audits/visits related to the discipline.</li><li>Lead discipline improvements in plant reliability, equipment strategy, defect elimination and equipment rationalisation.</li><li>Work closely with the asset and Hydrocarbon Accounting to ensure measurement accuracy and plant optimisation is maintained.</li><li>Monitoring maintenance findings/audit actions and assessing longer-term implications and impact on accuracy, availability and/or reliability.</li><li>Contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments and investigations as the measurement focal point. </li><li>Inert / Carrier Gas contract owner, monitor performance and costs.</li><li>Tehnical approval of Asset Metering Mismeasurement, Dispensation and Deviations</li></ul> <br><b>Experience & Qualifications</b><br><ul><li>Must hold a Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline</li><li>Experience of Oil & Gas or Chemical Industries.</li><li>Hold 5 years+ experience within a similar position</li><li>Being a Chartered Engineer would be desirable</li><li>Fundamental knowledge of applicable standards</li><li>Knowledge of functional equipment design and repair</li><li>Formal training and/or experience with Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)</li></ul><br /><br />With over 90 years' combined experience, NES Fircroft (NES) is proud to be the world's leading engineering staffing provider spanning the Oil &amp; Gas, Power &amp; Renewables, Infrastructure, Life Sciences, Mining, Automotive and Chemicals sectors worldwide.With more than 100 offices in 45 countries, we are able to provide our clients with the engineering and technical expertise they need, wherever and whenever it is needed.
