Charity People have partnered with Orbis UK to find a Major Donor Lead, and the role comes with an attractive salary of £60,000 per annum and a generous benefits package. The role will also involve some international travel.</p><p><strong>Title:</strong> Major Donor Lead<br /> <strong>Reports to:</strong> Deputy Director, Relationships &amp; Partnerships <br /> <strong>Location:</strong> Central London (two core days in office per week). <br /> <strong>Salary:</strong> £60,000 per annum<br /> <strong>Benefits: </strong>25 days including three days between Christmas and New Year), increasing by one day for every full year of employment completed by 1 January of each year up to a maximum of 29 days (including three days between Christmas and New Year); up to 10% pension (after satisfactory completion of probation period); life assurance; wellbeing activities; flexi-time and more.</p><p><strong>About Orbis UK </strong></p><p>Orbis UK is an affiliate of Orbis International, an international charity working to make eye care available everywhere, for everyone, so no one has to experience the consequences of avoidable blindness. They work alongside eye teams in communities to provide training and guidance to leave a long-term eye care legacy that will restore vision for generations to come. They have long-term projects around the world across countries including India, Bangladesh, Nepal, China, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Ghana, Zambia and Cameroon. They even have a state-of-the-art Flying Eye Hospital.</p><p>As a Major Donor Lead, you will identify, engage and secure income from high-net worth individuals in the UK, Europe and the Middle East, and steward and further develop a portfolio of existing major donors. You will also help define and implement a new business strategy for securing multi-year, restricted and unrestricted major donor donations.</p><p>In your first few weeks in this Major Donor Lead role, you can expect to:</p><ul><li>Manage and steward relationships with a small, but growing portfolio of prospective donors and existing funders, including those giving six and seven-figure grants</li><li>Maintain active communication with donors, keeping them informed about programmatic developments and matching them with potential funding opportunities</li><li>Develop and maintain good relationships with the UK Programme Funding team and Finance staff to help ensure smooth management of grants and to work collaboratively to oversee grant financials and deliverables</li></ul><p>To apply for this Major Donor Lead role, you will need significant major donor fundraising experience, including a demonstrably successful track record of securing funds from a range of HNWIs.
