Þpartment Behavioral Health IP Job Summary This leader has accountability and oversight, and supervises the daily activities of the department, shift or area. The leader assigned to day shift will be primarily responsible for reviewing, balancing and arbitrating the 28-day schedule for the inpatient unit coverage. Evening and night shift leaders may be assigned to assist with schedule arbitration. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring individual and team work tasks, projects, and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of departmental and organizational goals. Required Qualifications - Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) required within three (3) years of hire date. For new hires prior to 2012, BSN is required within three (3) years of promotion date. - Require two (2) years of current satisfactory psychiatric RN experience. - Require current Level 2 ACHA Background clearance. - Require Crisis Prevention institute (CPI) – Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) training. Preferred Qualifications - Prefer ability to manage, guide, and schedule staff. - Prefer basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications. Required License and Certs BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License This role requires a 40 hour workweek. The schedule will be (3) 12 hour shifts and (1) 4 hour shift per week (or a combination of hours to equal 40 every week) , including 4 weekend shifts per month. The Supervisor will be required to attend all staff meetings, lead committees and task forces as assigned, as well as particpating in oversight of education acitvities for nursing services staff. The intent of this role is to provide supervisory coverage on off shifts and weekends, to provide all required supervision, support and education. Shift start time between 1300 and 1500, to be pre-determined based upon facility need
