This position is part of our Global Internship Program, which gives chance to new talents show themselves and with our support improve and thrive. It is an on-site paid internship on our site in Brno in The Czech Republic. The length is limited – for 3 months, from the 1st of July 2023 until the end of September 2023, for full-time employment – 40 hours per week. This internship cannot be done remotely. Your Role: SolarWinds is looking for eager interns to help support Business Applications team during the summer of 2023. Responsibilities Primary responsibility will be developing well designed and tested code. Your buddy – another developer from your team – will help you to get into our processes, best practices and explain codebase of applications you will be working on. Your tasks will start with understanding business requirements and translating them into smart and elegant technical design together with our architects resulting into robust and sustainable code. The combination of enhancing various aspects (business logic, cloud infrastructure services, database) of existing applications and tools coupled with working on high-value new projects keeps the job exciting and dynamic. You will be the member of the self-organized engineering team (developers, testers, architects, managers) working according to the agile principles using Scrum. Our primary technology is .NET so you will use mainly Microsoft Visual Studio as an IDE. You will write your backend code in C
, ASP.NET MVC and SQL. Frontend part uses HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript. Our solutions are connected via Web Services using mainly REST. The tools we use on daily basis are GitHub, JIRA, and Confluence. Qualifications We require experience in software development – home or school projects using C
.NET. Additional experiences with MS SQL (or SQL in general) and web development (ASP.NET MVC, REST, Azure, frontend technologies) is benefit. Also, because you are reading this job description in English, you need to understand written and verbal English.
