Principal Piping Designer

<b> Overview / Responsibilities </b><br><br><b> Principal Piping Designer - Onshore, Glasgow Based </b><br><br> Wood is seeking a Principal Piping Designer to join us on a permanent basis in Glasgow to support our continued growth across various Onshore Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Energy projects within our Process & Energy. <br><br><b> Join a culture of innovation , pushing the boundaries of what is possible to seek the best solutions for our clients. </b> <br><br> The appointed Principal Piping Designer will have e xtensive and recent experience of Aveva E3D software with strong technical piping knowledge and extensive experience of 2D and 3D software. <br><br>If all of this sounds good to you, review the typical responsibilities of the role and the requirements of the position below, then follow the link to apply and start your journey with Wood. <br><br><b> Responsibilities: </b><br><ul><li> Design software is 2D AutoCAD and 3D Aveva PDMS software </li><li> Produce piping design work packs for issue to others and check piping fabrication drawings </li><li> Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract </li><li> Carry out work in accordance with company and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems </li><li> Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process </li><li> Maintain good communication with the project team and with the client </li><li> Ensure that designs comply with all relevant technical standards and procedures </li><li> Maintain discipline filing system, both electronic and hard copy </li></ul> <br><br><b> Skills / Qualifications </b><br><br>At Wood, we understand and acknowledge that everyone is different, and we are committed to equal opportunities and want to access all of the talent that is out there.
