Job Summary Comcast is looking for an international tax professional for the Direct Tax team that will solely manage large projects, M&A, and tax advisory for Comcast International and Sky. Job Description Core Responsibilities: Helping to manage specific projects and initiatives, including M&A and structuring activities Identification of tax opportunities and risks relating to product innovation and technology, including in relation to the UK patent box regime Helping provide tax input and analysis of all treasury-related activities and financing activities, including dividend planning Helping to manage inter-company pricing for new and existing supplies of goods and services, ensuring transactions are priced on an arm’s length basis Providing effective tax support and advice to the business, including advising on the tax implications of ad hoc projects, external contracts and other transactions Analysis of the tax implications of accounting and legislative changes Engagement with HMRC on tax queries and key tax issues Working with other members of the tax team on projects as required Required Skills and Experience: Experience as a tax qualified professional, ideally CTA, ACA or equivalent Strong experience and technical knowledge in International Tax (restructuring projects, M&A, structuring refinance projects, financing, and advisory). Must be amenable to work at the Sky Campus at Osterley (West London) 2-3x per week and to travel between other Comcast group sites may from time-to-time Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to explain complex issues clearly and simply to non-tax experts Personal accountability and a high level of attention to detail Focus on delivery, with excellent time-management skills Confident and self-motivated, with ability to work on own initiative Good team-player, who is able to build personal networks across Tax and Finance, and with other stakeholders in the business Strong IT skills, including Excel Experience of and an interest in the media or technology sector would be helpful The Tax department enjoys a high profile within the wider Comcast group and this role will involve regular contact with various personnel in key operational areas of the business. The role will suit candidates with robust knowledge and experience of UK tax matters who are able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, who have the ability to generate value-adding solutions to tax issues, have good project management skills, and a desire to learn and develop in an exciting and stimulating corporate environment.
