êton’s Vehicle Group is currently seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Relocation will be offered for candidates living outside a 50-mile radius of the following locations; Galesburg, MI, Kearney, NE, Kings Mountain, NC, Roxboro, NC, or Southfield, MI. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Position Overview: This position is focused on leading cross functional teams to improve manufacturing and assembly processes for new and existing products throughout VGNA manufacturing sites. In this function you will: Lead the creation of manufacturing processes, routings and drawings Evaluate and establish manufacturing cost, quality plan and investment of new, relocated and redesigned components Recommend and implements improvements to existing manufacturing operations, equipment and procedures Develop all manufacturing engineering inputs required for the development of accurate cost models in support of the quotation process Identify and coordinate best practice implementation between multiple facilities Present manufacturing plans to the Senior Management for approval Evaluate and verify manufacturing processes, procedures, equipment and tool designs completed by peers Investigate, analyze and recommend new and/or alternate equipment and manufacturing methods Prepare financial justification for projects in support of CAR analysis Manage capital and expense spending for assigned projects Procure equipment and tooling per project plan and standards Manages ProLaunch STP requirements for manufacturing relocation projects When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Ability to travel 25% Must be able to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred qualifications: Preferred 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Knowledge and application of Eaton Business System tools for successful project completion Ability to design manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency Knowledge and experience with the PRO-Launch process Team-oriented, flexible, must be able to work with all levels of management Recognize and define safety improvements for all aspects of manufacturing processes. Lean Manufacturing 6 Sigma Green Belt Bilingual (Spanish) Solid Modeling experience Gear manufacturing experience Manufacturing Process Knowledge of some of the following: Forging Machining Heat Treat Grinding Assembly Welding What you’ll get from us: We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
