Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer

Would you like to join a world leader in reliable wireline equipment in a cutting edge production facility? <br><br>Do you enjoy developing mission critical embedded software and firmware? <br><br><b>Job Purpose</b><br>As an embedded software developer, you are responsible for the development, integration and maintenance of new and existing embedded software systems for our downhole tools using both structured C and object orientated C++. The successful candidate will also be collaborating with the central research team to align the firmware development processes and code structure across the wider business.<br><br><b>About The Team</b><br>The Wireline Services Technology Team is looking for a self-motivated and passionate Firmware Development Engineer to join our team. This will be a unique opportunity to join a cross discipline team working with a diverse range of products that operate in deep wells, under extreme environments.<br><br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><ul><li>Developing and agreeing upon the embedded software specification for tool developments.<br></li><li>Developing and adapting of embedded software for devices using C and C++. and for microcontroller and DSPs using C<br></li><li>Working with real-time operating system on embedded devices.<br></li><li>Working on communication protocols / bus systems (CAN, SPI, UART, etc.) and conducing Low level driver development for &Acirc;µC/DSP<br></li><li>Performing measurement and digital signal processing and conducing software testing<br></li><li>Developing of based test software to interact with tools using C
