Responsible for the supervision and coordination of assigned administrative and general office activities consistent with departmental objectives, administrative policies and practices. Provides direct supervision for administrative and office support staff such as secretarial/administrative assistants, medical assistants, schedulers, data management and medical records staff. Ensures the successful delivery of support services within the department or unit. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Plans and schedules work for staff to ensure proper distribution of assignments and adequate staffing, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties. 2. Ensures adequate staffing for unexpected/emergency coverage. 3. Provides work direction, guidance, coaching and training for staff. 4. Establishes, reviews and revises work processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective administrative activities. 5. Makes recommendations regarding fiscal and staffing requirements of the unit to assist in the preparation of budgetary recommendations. 6. Compiles information reflecting expenditures and develops comparisons. Education: Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Experience: 3 years of directly related experience with 1 year in a supervisory role or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. The salary range for the role is $59,834.22 - $72,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
