Global Tech Support Specialist ( 4 months Internship - Summer 2023)

This opportunity can be fulfilled either on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the candidate's availability. The ideal candidate should be based in the Victoria area and able to attend our Central Saanichton office as needed, though most of the work can be performed remotely. What will you do? Collaborating with the Digital Power Expert Support team to reproduce, diagnose, and document technical support issues. Supporting the Digital Power Expert Support team and occasionally R&D in evaluating and verifying solutions and hotfixes. Contributing to the creation of internal and external knowledge articles with the team. Engaging as a Business Partner through digital collaboration platforms. What skills will make you successful? This job might be for you if: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, with an expected graduation in Winter 2024. Strong understanding of networking principles and experience with operating systems such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and IIS. Ability to perform software maintenance and testing. Knowledge of power systems. Intermediate or advanced knowledge of the Modbus communication protocol, with additional knowledge of OPC DA, IEC61850, and SNMP being an asset. Prior customer service experience is preferred.
